The New Orleans Saints invited star wide receiver Antonio Brown to their facility for a workout this week, but according to head coach Sean Payton, the organization does not currently have plans to sign the seven-time Pro Bowler to the roster just before the start of the NFL Playoffs.
Brown has been out of the NFL since September 20th, when he was cut by the Patriots amid allegations of sexual assault less than two weeks after signing with the team. Brown is the subject of a civil lawsuit, and the NFL launched an investigation into the various allegations in September. That investigation is ongoing and has no timeline, and while Brown has not yet been added to the commissioner’s exempt list, but the league has stated that if Brown signs with a team, he could be added to the list at any time.

On Friday, Payton said that the Saints were simply evaluating their options at wide receiver. Payton also admitted that he wasn’t being truthful earlier in the year when he said that he wasn’t interested in adding Brown to his team.
Sean Payton said a few months ago he had no interest in Antonio Brown.
His response to @Kat_Terrell’s question about what changed of, “Well I probably wasn’t telling you the truth a few months ago” is the most honest thing I’ve heard him say in a media session.

According to a report from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Brown’s arrival in New Orleans was already a sideshow.
