The Raiders actually have a chance at the playoffs, but they need 5 things to happen in Week 17

So you’re telling me there’s a chance …

The Oakland Raiders are the living embodiment of “So you’re telling me there’s a chance” dot GIF.

After a 24-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, the franchise that’s set to head to Las Vegas still has a shot at the postseason. But A LOT of stuff has to happen in order for Black Hole die-hards to see Derek Carr and Co. in the playoffs.

It all starts with the 7-8 Raiders needing to win over the Denver Broncos, something that’s somewhat possible, even though the team has won three of its last four with Drew Lock at the helm.

Then, they need the following to happen:

1. The Browns need to beat the Bengals

Totally doable. The Bengals just clinched the worst record in the league at 1-14.

2. The Colts need to defeat the Jaguars

Again, very possible. Indy just trounced the Panthers and the Jags have won just once since Week 8.

3. The Texans have to beat the Titans

This is tough. The Titans are still in need-a-win mode to keep the Raiders and Steelers off their backs for a wild card spot. The Texans, however, are trying to nab the No. 3 seed in the AFC (they’re currently fourth). So Houston could be motivated at home.

4. The Ravens must take down the Steelers

Baltimore officially clinched the top seed in the AFC on Sunday, so this game means nothing to them. That could open the door for the Steelers … but I could see Robert Griffin III winning this game anyway.

The cool thing about this is that the Raiders needed four other things to happen this week … and they did:

Good luck, Raider Nation.
