Jalen Ramsey had one of his best performances as a member of the Rams on Saturday night against the 49ers, recording his first interception of the season and breaking up another pass. His presence was felt on those two plays, as well as on a big hit he laid on Emmanuel Sanders, looking like an All-Pro corner again – outside of a miscommunication between him and Taylor Rapp late in the game.
He missed some time briefly due to a knee injury, causing him to leave the game and be considered as doubtful to return. He was back on the field quickly, though, missing just one defensive series.
That doesn’t mean he was completely healthy, though. After the 34-31 loss, Ramsey discussed the injury and said he will likely head for an MRI at some point.
“I don’t know what’s going on right now. I gotta get an MRI, probably,” he said, via ESPN. “I don’t know if I can talk about injuries or not, so I won’t talk about it. But I wanted to play, so nothing was going to stop me from playing and we’ll worry about it after the game.”
Ramsey was asked if he was playing through a lot of pain, to which he simply said “indeed.” He added that he injured his knee “sometime in the first quarter.”
