Spencer Dinwiddie got off to another strong start for the Brooklyn Nets in their game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. Though, this performance at Barclays Center began a bit differently.
Dinwiddie was a machine on the offensive end in the first half. He managed to score 20 points against the Hawks, which is a new career-high for the Nets point guard.
Dinwiddie’s previous personal best had been 19 points, which he set back on November 24 at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks. he also scored 19 in the first half of Thursday’s road loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
Against the Knicks, Dinwiddie finished with 30 points. On Thursday in San Antonio, he scored a career-high 41 points, breaking the 40-point mark for the first time in his NBA career.
Heading into Saturday’s game, Dinwiddie was averaging 22.1 points per game this season.
