Joe Mixon admitted on Twitter earlier this week that he was overjoyed to shake hands with Tom Brady last Sunday when the Patriots visited Paul Brown Stadium, but the running back was too shy to ask for the six-time Super Bowl winner’s jersey after the game.
Mixon had one of his best performances of the season against the Patriots’ defense, with 136 rushing yards and 20 receiving yards, and Brady took notice from the sideline. After Mixon tweeted about meeting Brady, the Patriots legend promised to send him a jersey.
Bruh.. I still can’t believe I shook @TomBrady hand today and had a lil conversation with him😂 I ain’t gone lie I wanted to ask for his jersey but was too scared to ask🤦🏽♂️😂

Mixon shared a photo of his new keepsake on Friday, and wrote that he planned to pay the gesture forward by giving out his own jersey to local kids at a Boys and Girls Club. On the numbers, Brady wrote:
“Joe, A Great Player! Keep Going. Bay Area’s Best!”
