Happy Friday! It’s the end of the week and Christmas is right around the corner. The Vols are still active and moving as the holiday approaches. So is the Twitter account, which was excited about some new emojis.

Okay, that’s not news, but the child like excitement for emojis is fun.
In reality, the Lady Vols were up against a tough test on the basketball court as they visited number one-ranked Stanford. UT didn’t roll over by any means, but wound up taking a 78-51 loss. Junior Rennia Davis led scoring with 14 points.
The Vols basketball team helped Emerald Youth open up an athletic complex. There’s a nice video on how that went on the Volunteer Basketball Twitter account.

Underneath the cloud of Early Signing Day it might get lost that UT junior offensive lineman Trey Smith is a finalist for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award. Smith and the two other finalists were picked from a group of 20 semifinalists. Quarterback Isaiah Sanders from Air Force and wide receiver Michael Pittman from Southern California are the other finalists, both seniors.
