The Los Angeles Lakers nor the Milwaukee Bucks know whether the Lakers will be without their leading scorer and leading shot blocker Anthony Davis in a showdown between two 24-4 teams later this evening.
Davis suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday’s win over the Atlanta Hawks, which caused him to miss Tuesday night’s loss to the Indiana Pacers. Davis has only missed two games this season but perhaps energy is dragging for the Lakers as they play their 12th road game in 15 attempts against the Bucks tonight. While the official update is expected soon, TNT’s Allie LaForce reported moments ago that Davis is expected to be a game-time decision for tonight’s game against the Bucks.

Moments later, Davis was spotted warming up but there has been no definitive word on his status from the Lakers yet.

Davis has been spectacular for the Lakers all season on both ends, anchoring them on defense while also helping push LeBron James to once again embrace defense.
Even without Davis, the Lakers played pretty solid defense against the Pacers but they couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn from the 3-point line. The Lakers have failed to crack 30 percent on 3-pointers in their last two games.
