After missing Week 14’s game against the Oakland Raiders, it appears receiver DJ Chark is trending in the right direction with his ankle injury. The second-year receiver returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, which could point to him playing against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday.

Chark sustained his ankle injury Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth quarter and it resulted in him leaving the game in a boot. However, he resumed cutting and running Monday, so it was expected that he’d practice Wednesday.

The Jags only had two players to sit out of Wednesday’s practice session in Calais Campbell (back) and Brandon Linder (knee), who typically don’t practice to start off the week. Both will probably gradually be brought back and will be ready to go for Sunday’s game.

The Jags had just one full participant on the day and that was receiver Dede Westbrook. Cornerbacks A.J. Bouye and D.J. Hayden, offensive tackle Cam Robinson, and pass-rusher Josh Allen were some other notables who were listed as limited.

As for the Falcons, Julio Jones (shoulder), Younghoe Koo (left foot), and Ricardo Allen were amongst the notables to surface on their injury report. Their full report can be seen here.
