Recruitment
Corum first made it to campus earlier in 2019, a month after being offered, as part of his high school visiting Ann Arbor for the Michigan – Maryland basketball game.
With Ohio State in the mix, it seemed like a longshot for the Wolverines, but he made his way to campus on June 21 for the big recruiting weekend, a week after visiting Columbus, and pledged just six days later on June 27.
He went on to have a solid senior year, which started with a four touchdown performance in St. Frances Academy’s season opener.
Readiness Level
Has the talent to be a day one participant, but given how loaded Michigan’s running backs room is, he’ll likely be a late-game bench player or change of pace back.
However, if he acclimates to Josh Gattis’ system quickly, he could change that in a hurry.

Corum has all the tools to be a tremendously useful all-purpose back; it’s difficult to prevent this post from reaching high levels of corniness because of how well he fits the #SpeedInSpace mantra. A definitive scouting take can’t be issued without watching him over the course of a full game, but everything available on film points to a guy who can carry the ball out of the backfield and find extra room thanks to well-paired vision and athleticism, and also one who can run through contact when someone eventually gets to him. The one thing that stood out from Opening regional numbers and the camp highlight film is that he seems to have an average vertical, which isn’t a huge deal as a running back but points to why he should not primarily play slot.
