Interim head coach Perry Fewell at the podium. He says he won’t make a QB decision until Wednesday. That’s a shift from the norm – saying Allen will start in the week ahead, usually on a Monday.

The Panthers may finally be making a change at quarterback this week. Interim head coach Perry Fewell told the media today he has not decided who to start at the position as of yet and that announcement will not come until Wednesday.
This is a change from business as usual. Fewell and Ron Rivera before him struck down any hint of a QB controversy early in the week, naming Kyle Allen the starter on Mondays.
Allen’s continued regression may finally force Fewell’s hand. He threw three interceptions against the Seahawns and keeps making the same mistakes every week.
Will Grier bombed in the preseason but it’s possible the game has slowed down for him some after a season of practices.
With only two games left to play, the Panthers are running out of time to see what they got with that pick.
