Alex is going with these kicks a lot. They'll have an impact down the road if he sticks with it

Very, very tough opening round to score. I had it for Volkanovski, but we all know judges tend to lean to the champ in rounds like that. #ufc245

Unofficial: Volkanovski's 32 leg kicks landed after two rounds are the most Max Holloway has ever absorbed. Previous most: 25 by Ricardo Lamas at UFC 199. #UFC245

That’s the fun sub-battle I’ve been looking forward to with this fight: the strategy battle between corners. #UFC245 https://t.co/ugc1VMss1f

These inside low kicks are the same ones Volkanovski torched Aldo with.
Did a whoooole breakdown on 'em this week.

That leg is looking hurt coming from those tree trunks of @alexvolkanovski #UFC245

Holloway turns southpaw and lands a pair of left hands. #UFC245

Competitive second round. I lean Volkanovski and have him up 20-18, but could be tied 19-19. Holloway seems to have damage on that left leg.

Unofficial: Alex Volkanovski's 46 leg kicks landed through three rounds are a new UFC featherweight record. The old record was Cub Swanson's 43 over five rounds vs. Artem Lobov. #UFC245

30-27, Volkanovski. Holloway needs to figure something out for those leg kicks and look to finish. #UFC245

Holloway knows he’s getting beat right now in the third. Too much talking and trying to project confidence. #UFC245

Feel like it is 2-2 going into the 5th round!
— Ben Askren (@Benaskren) December 15, 2019
Holloway wins round 4. I still have it 39-37, Volkanovski. Holloway definitely connecting more often now and showing he can hurt Volkanovski. #UFC245

Holloway showing huge urgency in the 5th and final round, but it looks like the featherweight UFC strap is headed to Australia.

Likely going to have a new champion here.
I have it 49-46 Volkanovski

This is to close to call
— Belal Muhammad (@bullyb170) December 15, 2019
Volkanovski should definitely have that fight. At least I think so #ufc245
— Sarah Kaufman (@mmasarah) December 15, 2019
Max pullled away in rounds 4 and 5 but was it enough? Numbers aren’t indicative of a fight and a lot judges don’t reward leg kicks as much as they should. I lean Volk 3-2, but could see Max covincing a a judge in rd 2/possibly earn a 10-10. Let’s see…
