The Cincinnati Bengals shocked onlookers by cutting veteran linebacker Preston Brown in the middle of this strife-filled season.
Brown turned around and linked up with the Oakland Raiders — but only for a single game.
The Raiders announced Brown among three cuts Tuesday, all of a day removed from Raiders head coach Jon Gruden making it clear he wanted to make some wide-sweeping changes to the defense.
Brown spent one game with Oakland, playing 17 snaps. Prior to that, he had inked a three-year extension with the Bengals, only to be cut in an uncharacteristic manner by the team after nine games.
After getting cut by the Bengals, Brown sent out a message to his hometown.
Based on his departure only a few games ago though, don’t expect a reunion in Cincinnati.
