The Brooklyn Nets will be without Kyrie Irving yet again on Wednesday.
Though, they’re playing the Charlotte Hornets for the second time in three games. Despite their slow start in Charlotte last time, the Nets should be able to handle the Hornets fairly comfortably on Wednesday without Irving.
But just because he’s out for Wednesday doesn’t mean Irving was not inactive on Tuesday.
Kenny Atkinson told reporters the superstar point guard was conducting work on the court. However, there has been no change in the Nets’ stance when it comes to Irving’s timetable: there still isn’t a definitive one.
But Nets fans can, at least, take comfort in knowing Irving has yet to have a setback, per Ian Begley of SNY:
Kyrie Irving did on-court work today with the Nets, head coach Kenny Atkinson said. There’s no definitive timetable for Irving’s return but Atkinson said the PG has made consistent progress/there have been no setbacks from shoulder injury.

While the top concern with Irving’s absence was Brooklyn’s play — along with his recovery — there was a secondary issue with his extended time out.
According to Bobby Marks of ESPN, Irving will now miss out on a $125K bonus for games played:
