Chiefs’ Chris Jones details trash-talking moment with Tom Brady

Frustration was flowing through the air in Foxborough during Week 14.

Frustration was flowing through the air in Foxborough during Week 14.

The New England Patriots suffered a heart-breaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and some questionable calls by the officials built animosity. The Patriots were coming off of a loss to the Baltimore Ravens and Tom Brady has openly expressed frustration with the offense throughout the season.

That frustration transpired when Brady and Chiefs’ defensive tackle Chris Jones exchanged some words.

Jones spoke about the heated exchange on Monday, while showing respect for Brady.

“Just crap-talking,” Jones said, transcribed by NBC Sports Boston. “Tom is a heck of a quarterback, a Hall of Famer. Any time you’re able to talk crap, you gotta affect him any type of way. I got much respect for Tom Brady, man. He’s definitely a GOAT in my eyes, one of the greatest. Any time you’re able to affect his game any type of way, whether it’s talking, whether it’s hitting him, whether it’s getting him uncomfortable, you got to.”

Following the loss, the Patriots are 10-3 and looking to bounce back in Week 15 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
