On Monday, the Cowboys released kicker Brett Maher and signed former Vikings kicker Kai Forbath.
Forbath kicked for the Vikings from 2016-17 and wasn’t all that bad, connecting on 47 of 53 kicks. He did, however, miss eight extra points in two seasons.
The Vikings moved on from Forbath and signed Dan Bailey after the Cowboys cut him to make room for . . . Brett Maher.
Now the Cowboys have Forbath, who was just released by the Patriots last week after missing AN EXTRA POINT OF ALL THINGS!
Funny how things work.
Bailey has been solid with the Vikings, connecting on 39 of 48 kicks. He’s been real solid this season, hitting 18 of 20 field goals, including going a perfect 3-for-3 on kicks more than 50 yards.
The Vikings will probably be rooting for Forbath in his first game with the Cowboys. Dallas hosts a Los Angeles Rams team that is just a game behind the Vikings for a wild card spot.
