The Vikings are playing the Chargers for just the 13th time in team history on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.
The series is all tied up at 6-6.
The last time these two teams played as back on Sept. 27, 2015 when the Vikings won 31-14 behind 126 rushing yards and two touchdowns from Adrian Peterson. At the time, Teddy Bridgewater was Minnesota’s quarterback and Mike Wallace was the team’s top receiver in the game.
How times have changed.
Philip Rivers was under center for the Chargers, as he is today.
These types of matchups are always fun to watch for me. I don’t get the chance to watch a whole lot of AFC players, especially if they aren’t on a top team. Rivers falls into that category. He’s always been solid, but his Chargers have never been a showcase game for folks in Minnesota.
This one is a big one for the 9-4 Vikings, who are hoping to solidify a playoff spot. It’s not so important for the 5-8 Chargers, but that doesn’t mean they won’t put up a good fight.
