Patrick Mahomes’ girlfriend said security had to move her after terrible treatment from Patriots fans

Don’t be those fans.

The Kansas City Chiefs traveled to New England last weekend for Sunday’s rematch of the AFC title game, and they left Gillette Stadium with a huge 23-16 win.

The game was a frustrating experience for New England fans who booed the home team off the field at halftime and witnessed some downright awful officiating. But that doesn’t excuse the behavior that Patrick Mahomes’ girlfriend, Brittany Matthews, described dealing with at Foxborough.

Matthews and Mahomes’ brother, Jackson, were seated together at Gillette Stadium, and according to Matthews, Patriots fans recognized them immediately when they sat down and made it a mission to harass them at the game. This was how she described it on Twitter (NSFW language).

Eventually, fans got upset that Matthews stood up during the game, and someone evidently threatened to call security on Matthews.

As the game unfolded, the apparent harassment forced security to respond and move Matthews to a “safe place.”

She added a postgame update on Instagram.

Matthews wrote:

Iโ€™m here & these fans will NEVER keep me away ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ #chiefskingdom
Update: Gillette security cane (sic) and got us said we have cameras everywhere and we have seen you getting harassed so we are gonna move you to a safe section!

Matthews’ Instagram Story would show her and Jackson watching the end of the game from a suite.
