Sixers’ Marial Shayok turns in another stellar outing for Blue Coats

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Marial Shayok had another big night on Friday in a win.

While the Philadelphia 76ers are in the process of trying to bounce back from a tough loss with an upcoming home back-to-back. Meanwhile, their younger guys continue to develop and impress in the G League. The team’s affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, knocked off the Capital City Go-Go 110-109 at home on Friday night and they were led by the Sixers’ second-round rookie.

Marial Shayok, averaging 26.3 points on the season coming in, was at it again offensively scoring 31 points to lead Delaware on 13-for-23 shooting. Another Sixers prospect, Jonah Bolden scored 14 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and dished out five assists while Zhaire Smith had seven points on 3-for-5 shooting.

The 7-foot-4 man Christ Koumadje had 20 points and 12 rebounds as he used his big body to his advantage all night long.

The Blue Coats improved to 6-4 on the season and they will get back to work on Saturday when they visit the Main Red Claws. [lawrence-related id=20769,20760,20751]
