Philadelphia 76ers guard Josh Richardson has missed four straight games with right hamstring tightness, but that does not mean he has strayed away from his teammates and not been involved with the team during his recovery.
Richardson has been on the bench in his teammates’ ears giving them direction on things he’s seeing out there and things that he thinks can help the team win. Ironically, the Sixers have won the first three games without him and they will be looking to win a fourth straight game without their starting shooting guard on Thursday when they face the Washington Wizards.
He even went down to watch the Delaware Blue Coats on Wednesday and they won in his presence so the undefeated record continued for him. It’s due to this undefeated record and him being out, he has created the hashtag #CoachJRich on Twitter.

Richardson is having a lot of fun with it as he recovers from injury.
“For me, it’s just helping the wings and the game. Being vocal, I think that’s one of my biggest strengths when I am playing. When I’m on the bench, it’s pulling guys. James(Ennis), Shake(Milton), Matisse(Thybulle), Ben(Simmons), anybody who if I’m seeing things in the game, just letting them know or they’ll ask me stuff. That’s why I’ve been calling myself ‘Coach JRich’.”
