A bantamweight matchup is the latest addition to UFC 246.
[autotag]Brian Kelleher[/autotag] (19-10 MMA, 3-3 UFC) will take on [autotag]Ode Osbourne[/autotag] (8-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at the UFC’s first pay-per-view event of 2020. MMA Junkie confirmed the booking with a person who wished to remain anonymous since the UFC has yet to make an official announcement. The contest was initially report by TheScrap.co.
UFC 246 takes place Jan. 18 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN2 and ESPN+/UFC Fight Pass.
Kelleher is coming off back-to-back losses to John Lineker and, most recently, a submission at the hands of Montel Jackson at December’s UFC 232. “Boom” was slated to return to action on May 4 against Mitch Gagnon but was forced out due to injury. He will now look to avoid a three-fight losing skid,when he takes on Osbourne.
Meanwhile, “Dana White’s Contender Series” contract winner Osbourne scored his ticket to the UFC when he picked up a first-round armbar finish over Armando Villarreal in July and now makes his promotional debut
