VOTE for the @FedEx Ground Player of the Week!
— NFL (@NFL) December 3, 2019
After his career performance on Sunday, Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice is up for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week. Guice was nominated for the award after rushing for 129 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries during Sunday’s 29-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Unfortunately for Guice, his monster day came during an NFL slate where two other RBs put up eye-popping stats as well — Tennessee’s Derrick Henry had 149 yards and 1 touchdown, and San Francisco’s Raheem Moster had 146 yards and 1 touchdown. However, neither of those players accumulated those stats on just 10 carries, and neither were playing in their fourth career game.
The winner will be announced later this week, and if Guice wins, it will hopefully be the first of many Player of the Week awards that he will rack up in his career.
