The Washington Redskins only have three wins on the season — yet they have all come under the watchful eye of interim head coach Bill Callahan.
Callahan assumed the position in place of Jay Gruden after the 0-5 start and won in Week 6. After a string of losses, he’s now rattled off two straight wins to reach three.
Recently, Callahan has talked about some of the changes he’s made to Redskins practices since taking over. That’s included an emphasis on team captains, running gassers when necessary and simply getting more aggressive.
With the three-win mark hit, a surge in the NFC East and two in a row, Callahan sees some of his hard work starting to pay off on the field:
Callahan believes the changes he's implemented since taking over as interim head coach are paying off. #Redskins are 3-4 since Callahan took over after Week 5.

One could poke holes in this, of course. The first win came over Miami. The recent two took advantage of Detroit and Carolina teams missing starting quarterbacks.
And yet, if the culture is changing for the better it is hard to discredit. Whether it changes the long-term plan by the front office is what should be really interesting down the stretch.
