The Philadelphia Eagles got a lot of help on Thanksgiving when the Buffalo Bills went to Dallas and dropped the Cowboys to 6-6 with a big win in the House that Jerry Built.
Then the Eagles went out on Sunday and made that help irrelevant as they threw away what looked like an easy when in Miami. Philly gave up a 28-14 lead before losing to the Dolphins, 37-31. It’s yet another painful loss for a team that has fallen apart in recent weeks.
A win would have drawn the Eagles even with the Cowboys atop the NFC East, now they’re 5-7 and remain in second place in a division that has quickly become a dumpster fire.
Philadelphia gave up one of the most creative touchdowns in Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins but the Eagles also allowed 37-year-old QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to throw for 365 yards and three touchdowns, which is totally unacceptable.
The Eagles, however, are still very much in the “race” for the NFC East title, especially since they host the Cowboys in Week 16, which very well could decide things.
Philadelphia has now lost three games in a row, all while Jason Garrett and the Cowboys have been imploding in their own right, losing two straight games.
It’s as if nobody wants to win the darned NFC East.
Twitter rightfully ripped the Eagles and their division:
I've seen some bad eagles seasons in my life
Something about this one is just so miserable LMAO
Good day everyone

What a disgraceful loss by the @Eagles. You’re up 28-14 and give up 23-unanswered points to the @MiamiDolphins — who’s coach, Brian Flores is doing a damn good job, btw — but that isn’t the point. The point is the @Eagles just Gabe the division to the @dallascowboys#MerryXMas

Ryan Fitzpatrick, DeVante Parker, Matt Haack and Patrick Laird put the nail in the coffin to the Eagles season. Outcoached. Outplayed. Worst loss in the Pederson era.

With Eagles faceplant in Miami it’s now guaranteed that the NFC Least champ will have either lost to the Jets or the Dolphins. The whole quartet should be relegated to the XFL. @dallascowboys #DallasCowboys

Likely January game: the Cowboys or Eagles hosting the 49ers or Seahawks in an NFC Wild Card round game.
Crazy.

Eagles being trash going to end up saving Jason Garrett's job and I am not sure if Cowboys fans want that lol
