Grizzlies’ Ja Morant is ‘week-to-week’ after aggravating back spasms

Ja Morant is considered week-to-week for the Grizzlies after experiencing lingering effects of a scary fall on Monday night.

Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant is considered week-to-week after aggravating back spasms Friday night against the Utah Jazz, the team announced.

The second overall pick took a scary fall in the second quarter on Monday night against the Indiana Pacers after crashing into a baseline camera operator. He was helped off of the court but eventually returned to the game in the second half.

Morant was listed as a game-time decision to play Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers but played in that contest, recording 20 points and 11 assists in 33 minutes of work.

On Friday, Morant finished with 11 points and four rebounds.
