The Carolina Panthers just announced a couple of moves.
Offensive lineman Garrett McGhin (ECU) has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster. They needed more offensive line depth with the injury to left guard Greg Van Roten. McGhin likely will be inactive on game days, though.
The Panthers may also be in need of a new kicker after Joey Slye missed three easy kicks on Sunday against the Saints. While Slye is still on the roster, the team added free agent kicker Greg Joseph to the practice squad, so they at least have another option.
Expect more moves to come this week. Defensive tackle Dontari Poe is reported to have surgery scheduled tomorrow morning for a quad injury.
