I’m not trying to be dramatic when I say this because I believe it to be true:
The single-worst call I have ever seen in a basketball game at any level – middle school, high school, college intermurals or even the NBA, went against Notre Dame this evening and wound up earning Mike Brey a technical foul.
John Mooney dribbles to his right and appears to want to hand the ball off to guard Temple Gibbs. While stopped and eventually barreled into, Mooney is somehow called for a charge despite both his feet being on the ground.
Instead of listening to me ramble on about it and tell you how bad it is, why not just watch for yourself and come to your own conclusion.
I mean it’s impossible for a call to be worse than this. pic.twitter.com/sH21rtcZdC

Told you I wasn’t being over the top.
Somehow Notre Dame won this masterpiece of a game in overtime, 64-62.
