Along with David Nwaba, Rodions Kurucs was assigned to Brooklyn’s G League team, the Long Island Nets, for practice on Tuesday. But before his assignment, Kurucs had to make another appearance in court, regarding his ongoing domestic violence case with his now ex-girlfriend.
According to Andrew Denney of the New York Post, Kurucs did appear at the Brooklyn Criminal Court on Tuesday, this being his third time in court for the case.
Alex Spiro is representing Kurucs in the case. Both declined the opportunity to comment for reporters after the hearing.
Kurucs is due back in court on January 8 — the same night the Nets host the Denver Nuggets — according to Denney.
On September 3, Kurucs was arrested at his Brooklyn apartment for allegedly choking his now ex-girlfriend. The alleged incident took place on June 27.
