Death, taxes, another injury for the Boston Celtics.
With the Celtics facing the Phoenix Suns in Talking Stick Resort Arena on Monday and leading by double-digits in the fourth quarter, Boston is well on their way to what could be the beginning of another streak.
However, they may have to do play a couple of games without team leader Marcus Smart after the veteran guard appeared to trip over himself and fall while playing defense, injuring himself in the process.
Per an announcement from the Celtics, Smart would not return to the game. Boston’s next game is on Wednesday, Nov. 30, against Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers (a team coached by former Celtics head coach Doc Rivers).
