Jonathan Stewart calls Panthers’ performance vs. Falcons ‘stale’

We can think of some other words, but this isn’t the place to share them.

Former Carolina running back Jonathan Stewart is watching the same train wreck we all are. The Panthers currently trail the Falcons 26-0 in the third quarter and about the only thing they’ve done right all day is stop the run. Stewart says the only word that comes to mind right now is stale.

We can think of some other words, but this isn’t the place to share them. Stale works pretty well, as it is. It implies the need for a fresh approach.

Starting out the top might not be a bad idea. Head coach Ron Rivera has been thoroughly outmatched by Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, who is not having a good year and is missing two of his top weapons in Austin Hooper and Devonta Freeman. Rivera’s seat should be considerably hotter after this total lackluster effort from his team.

On offense, Kyle Allen is having his worst game yet in a Panthers uniform. He’s thrown three interceptions and could easily have a couple more.

In addition to getting dominated in all three phases, they’re beating themselves with penalties. They have lost 53 yards on seven flags so far.
