Charlotte Hornets rookie Cody Martin recorded seven points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 109-106 win over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night.
The second-round pick is now the only first-year player this season to record at least five points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals in a single game. The Hornets are also the only team in the NBA with two rookies, Martin and P.J. Washington, averaging at least one steal per game.
Perhaps most impressive about Martin’s performance is he logged a season-high 26 minutes off of the bench in the victory, continuing a productive recent streak.

The win by the Hornets on Friday snapped a four-game losing streak as the team prepares to play the New York Knicks on Saturday night.
