Oklahoma State QB’s failed attempt at a hurdle shows us exactly why it’s a bad idea

Don’t try this at home…or anywhere else for that matter

When you hurdle somebody while playing football it almost always looks cool. Not only did the tackler miss, but you also jumped clean over them. That’s a pretty incredible athletic feat, without a doubt.

It’s also something a football player should probably NEVER do. It’s going to go wrong way more often than it goes right and the consequences aren’t worth it.

If the hurdle is successful and you’ll definitely be featured on highlight reels across the country. If you fail, though? Let’s just say…you might be in a bit of pain in a sensitive region for a minute.

Oklahoma State quarterback Spencer Sanders found that out the hard way today.

You definitely have to respect the attempt. It’s…ballsy — pun definitely intended.

The Cowboys are cleaning Kansas out right now 21-0, so no harm no foul. But, man, I’d hate to take that shot in a game that was actually close. Shoutout to him for his effort.
