The Philadelphia 76ers are counting on Tobias Harris to provide the scoring and shooting from the wing position they so desperately need for their offense to operate. Through 11 games, he hasn’t provided that as he’s shooting 20.4% from downtown and he’s mired in an 0-for-14 slump over the previous two games.
His poor play as of late has contributed to the Sixers dropping four of their past six games and if Philadelphia is able to get themselves back on track, they will need him to bust out of this slump quickly.
Coach Brett Brown’s advice to Harris is simple as he stated:
Keep shooting. Don’t listen to any of you guys( the media). Don’t read anything. Keep shooting. Little harsh?
For Brown’s sake, and the Sixers as a whole, they certainly need Harris to break out and give them the shooting and scoring they need. The team is 7-4 so it isn’t like the sky is completely falling, but there are a few issues with the team that need to be worked out.
The team’s next chance to bounce back is Friday when they continue the road trip by facing the Oklahoma City Thunder. [lawrence-related id=19279,19270,19262]
