The New England Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys should put together a sensational matchup on Sunday night — and not because of any silly narrative about which team is “America’s Team.”
No, this matchup is fascinating because both teams play right into each other’s strengths. The Dallas offense is one of the best in the NFL, with the second-most points per game. New England’s defense is also one of the best in the NFL, allowing fifth-fewest points per game. Rookie Mac Jones and a middling Patriots offense will face off against a similarly average Cowboys defense, though it has a propensity to generate turnovers, an interesting foil with Jones’ strong suit being conservative play.
With all that in mind, we decided to chat with Cowboys Wire editor K.D. Drummond. We went back in forth in conversation with nine burning questions.
