The buyers? It’s a group that includes Rob Walton, the heir to Walmart, Carrie Walton Penner and Greg Penner.
And the price is reportedly … A LOT of money. Specifically, a record amount for a North American team. 9News in Denver reports it’s $4.65 billion, which is now a record.
I know, I’m floored too. But the price for pro sports franchises has gone sky high in recent years, and the Broncos aren’t the only team that’s sold for an absurd amount of money.
