7 stats to know for Packers and Dolphins coming out of Week 12

A few stats to know about the Packers and Dolphins coming out of Week 12 and ahead of Thursday’s showdown at Lambeau Field.

The Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins both secured impressive victories ahead of Thursday’s showdown at Lambeau Field. The Dolphins easily dispatched the New England Patriots, using four touchdown passes from Tua Tagovailoa to cruise past their AFC East rivals. The Packers got three touchdown runs from Josh Jacobs and three takeaways to convincingly beat the visiting San Francisco 49ers.

Here are some stats to know about both teams coming out of Week 12:

12: The number of forced missed tackles by Packers running back Josh Jacobs, who now ranks third in yards after contact and fourth in missed tackles forced this season. The Dolphins are entering Week 13 with the third-lowest tackle grade at PFF. Can the Dolphins tackle Jacobs in the cold on a short week?

78.6: The percentage of dropbacks in which Tua Tagovailoa was kept clean in the pocket against the Patriots. He completed 75.8 percent of his passes, averaged 8.3 yards per attempt and tossed three touchdown passes while kept clean. Can the Packers pressure the Dolphins quarterback on Thursday night?

0: Christian Watson’s catches on three targets against the 49ers. He obviously dropped the would-be touchdown in the first half. With Romeo Doubs (concussion) unlikely to play, Watson will be in the spotlight. Can Watson bounce back and be a big-play threat for Jordan Love?

10: The number of pressures produced by Dolphins rookie edge rusher Chop Robinson in Week 12, per PFF. He had two sacks, a quarterback hit and seven hurries. Over the last three games, Robinson has an incredible 22 pressures on only 82 pass-rushing attempts. Can the Packers keep the ascending rookie out of the backfield?

2: The number of touchdown passes caught by Devon Achane against the Patriots. He now leads all running backs with five touchdown catches, and he’s second among running backs in catch percentage (92.5). While small, Achane is a dynamic threat out of the backfield, especially in the red zone. Can the Packers match him in coverage in big spots?

6: The number of catches by 49ers wide receivers against a Packers secondary missing Jaire Alexander. Green Bay had issues covering George Kittle but otherwise shutdown the 49ers receiver threats. Alexander is probably a long shot to play Thursday. Can the Packers contain dynamic receivers Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill, who combined for 13 catches and 192 yards against the Patriots?

7: The number of fumbles lost by the Dolphins this season after losing another one last week. Jaylen Wright’s fumble was scooped up and returned for a touchdown by the Patriots. The Packers lead the NFL in turnovers forced off fumbles with 11 after creating two more against the 49ers. Can the Dolphins hang onto the football in cold?
