Some players tested low athletically when it was not expected.

The edge defender class is not strong outside of Ohio State’s Chase Young, but Epenesa, because of his position, was getting early to middle of the first round buzz.

He ran the 40 in 5.04 seconds, which is slower than several offensive linemen. His shuttle time was slow, too.

Teams needing a pass rusher will not be pleased with the talent in this year’s draft.
