Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams
The two teams have ended each other’s seasons the last two years, with the Rams knocking Dallas out of the playoffs in 2018 and the Cowboys dashing Los Angeles’ hopes in the regular season in 2019.
This matchup would be the perfect September matchup if things were going as planned, as the Rams are supposed to be opening their new stadium this summer.
Normal delays in construction were already a possibility, and a slow down due to Covid-19 really threatens the possibility now, as California boasts one of the more strict policies around the country. There remains a chance no games are allowed to be played in the state, regardless of whether SoFi is ready or not. Still, putting these two in a primetime game seems like a real possibility with all of the points expected to be scored between the two.
ESPN is probably be salivating over the potential remake of what the Chiefs and Rams did back in 2018.
Cowboys vs Arizona Cardinals
A surprise team on the primetime schedule? Why not? The league wants to have every team appear under the lights, and what better way to get Kiff Kingsbury’s up-and-coming squad a national platform than by broadcasting their visit to AT&T Stadium. Kyler Murray, the incomparable Larry Fitzgerald and now DeAndre Hopkins? This is a sneaky good matchup.
Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings
This one just has the feel of a night game, as it has been the last two times the teams faced off. In 2016 it was on Monday night, in 2019 it was a Sunday night affair. Regardless, former Dallas DC Mike Zimmer has a bit of a rebuilding project on his hands in 2020 but there’s still plenty of weaponry available to be on display here.
