The Arizona Cardinals did not end up having their scheduled preseason finale over the weekend against the New Orleans Saints. That game was canceled because of Hurricane Ida.
It was the smart thing to do but it is unfortunate for a number of players on the Cardinals roster.
The cancellation hurt some players in terms of their chances of making the team or getting noticed by other teams seeking to bolster the back of their roster or practice squad.
