Gordie Howe won four Stanley Cups and was named the NHL’s MVP six times in his 25 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings. After retiring, Howe played in the WHA. He returned to the NHL  for the 1979-80 season, scoring 15 goals for the Hartford Whalers.
