One of the top prospects in the 2025 recruiting class recently announced his commitment date and LSU is one of the five schools he is still considering.
[autotag]Kaliq Lockett[/autotag] is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound, five-star wide receiver from Sachse, Texas, where he plays for Sachse High School. Lockett trimmed his final list of schools down to LSU, Texas A&M, Florida State, Alabama and Texas.
Lockett announced that he would be committing on Aug. 7. There are currently no crystal ball projections for Lockett but Texas is a 77% favorite to land him per On3.
LSU currently has 12 commitments for the 2025 recruiting class with one of those recruits being a wide receiver in four-star wide receiver [autotag]TaRon Francis[/autotag] from New Orleans. The Tigers lost out five-star wide receiver [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag] recently and Lockett would be a great pickup to help boost this recruiting class. Lockett would join [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag] as the only two five-stars in the class.
