5-star LSU shooting guard target breaks down Tigers ahead of official visit

The Tigers are pushing for one of the top players in the 2025 class.

LSU is currently 3-2 to start the 2022-23 men’s basketball season, and while it’s looking for a turnaround on the court this season, coach [autotag]Matt McMahon[/autotag] is also focusing on acquiring future talent.

The Tigers are currently one of several teams in the mix for five-star 2025 Vermont Academy (Saxtons River, Vt.) shooting guard [autotag]Joson Sanon[/autotag]. Sanon ranks as a top-10 prospect in the 2025 class, and he’s already taken an official visit to Oklahoma.

He’ll be taking a trip to Arizona this coming weekend followed by an official visit with LSU the following weekend. He recently broke down his early impressions of the Tigers with On3’s Jamie Shaw.

“They play fast over there,” Sanon said. “When I was younger, I was a fan of LSU and everything. I grew up liking them, so, I want to see what the atmosphere is like there. I heard it was great, and I want to see for myself what that looks like.”

LSU is still looking for its first commitment in the 2025 class, and landing Sanon would be a massive addition.
