With early signing day in the books and no committed LSU prospects remaining unsigned, coach [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] is all but done when it comes to the 2023 recruiting class.
There is, however, one domino that hasn’t yet fallen: uncommitted five-star athlete [autotag]Nyckoles Harbor[/autotag].
The edge rusher/tight end is the highest-ranked uncommitted prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The Archbishop Carroll (Washington, D.C.) prospect has long been considered a South Carolina lean, but the Tigers have put on a full-court press for him.
He told On3’s Chad Simmons (subscription required) that he is close to making a decision and will look to take one more official visit. He has already taken trips to Maryland, Michigan and South Carolina, and he will choose between Miami and LSU for the fourth visit. He said he does not expect to use his fifth visit.
It would be a bit of a surprise if the Tigers landed Harbor, but it wouldn’t be completely out of the blue. Kelly and his staff have made him a priority from Day 1, but it seems they have a bit of ground to make up here.
