The countdown to the start of the 2024 NFL regular season continues! As we hit Friday of this week, we are a day closer. For the Arizona Cardinals, who face the Buffalo Bills on the road on September 8 for their first game of the season, that is in 58 days.
The player who currently wears No. 58 is linebacker Tyreek Maddox-Williams. He appeared in three games last season, logging five defensive snaps and 30 on special teams and is battling for one of the final roster spots at the position.
The last impactful No. 58 was very impactful. It was linebacker Jordan Hicks, who played for the Cardinals from 2019-2021. He played almost every snap on defense for those three seasons and quarterbacked the defense for coordinator Vance Joseph. In three years, he had 384 total tackles, 5.5 sacks and four interceptions.
He was a good one.
We will be back tomorrow with another countdown post.
