Having reached Friday this week, we are a day closer to the start of the NFL regular season. The Arizona Cardinals report for training camp in four days, but their first game of the season, when they are on the road in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills, is in 51 days.
The Cardinals’ current No. 51 on the roster is linebacker Krys Barnes and he had a reasonable impact in his one season with the Cardinals last year.
Barnes, who re-signed this offseason one a one-year deal, played in 16 games last season and started six. He finished the season with 55 total tackles, including three for loss and a quarterback hit. He broke up six passes and had one interception that he returned 46 yards.
He played 408 defensive snaps and another 209 on special teams.
