5 things that lasted longer than Tom Brady’s retirement

What a ride it was.

When Tom Brady announced his was retiring from professional football, it was supposed to be THE END of a legendary career. Brady was calling it quits at the top of his game with a Super Bowl-contending team. Shy of winning the Super Bowl, it was just about the best way to go out.

And even though there was skepticism about how long Brady would actually stay retired, many expected the break to at least carry into the regular season. Like, it was a major life decision that he almost certainly made after a ton of thought. But Brady only needed 41 days to change his mind.

On Sunday, the seven-time Super Bowl champion announced on social media that he was ending his retirement and returning to Tampa Bay for another season.

Again, it was only 41 days. That’s not very long at all! There has to be plenty of things out there in sports that took longer than that.
