2. QB Brian Lewerke – MICHIGAN State
Michigan State quarterback Brian Lewerke would love to redeem himself after his 2018 performance against Michigan this season. Last year, Lewerke wasn’t himself, going 5/25 for 66 yards, and he had to play wide receiver to score a touchdown, catching a four-yard pass.
His senior year hasn’t been what anyone expected and he is looking to finish his career 2-2 against the Wolverines. With the team’s postseason chances on the line, he will try and fight his way to a victory this week in Ann Arbor. Going up against the seventh-ranked defense though won’t be easy, and Lewerke will have his work cut out for him. A win over Michigan would be a huge confidence boost for this team in a time they need one after blowing a 25 point lead at home.
