3. CB Ambry Thomas – MICHIGAN
You can’t escape talking about the Michigan defensive backs vs. Alabama wide receivers without talking about the other side of the coin. One cornerback who will have a tough game and one that could determine his future at Michigan is Ambry Thomas.
Thomas joked a few days ago that his future at Michigan could depend on how he plays against Alabama in the Citrus Bowl. Now whether he was serious or not will depend on what happens, and it will be the biggest test he’s had all season long.
Thomas has had an impressive season coming off colitis during the offseason. Harbaugh didn’t have a timetable for his return back in August, yet he came back in time to play week one and hasn’t looked back yet. He’s had 34 total tackles, three tackles for loss, three pass deflections, three interceptions, and two fumble recoveries this season.
