We and everyone else for that matter have talked about the increase in talent for Notre Dame across their roster in recent years. Recruiting has been on the up and strategic use of the transfer portal has improved the talents and roster depth as well.
That combination means that Notre Dame football is getting a pretty good amount of preseason attention this summer.
Almost every outlet we’ve seen has Notre Dame ranked as a preseason top 10 team and with a favorable schedule, there is a very good chance the Fighting Irish are playing a home game in the first year of the 12-team college football playoff.
Athlon Sports has their annual preseason college football magazine out and in it named their preseason All-American teams on the first through third levels. On the three, five Notre Dame players found their names listed.
