5 keys that will determine if Cowboys are victorious vs Bears

The Cowboys are hoping the Bears are ready for hibernation on TNF. They need to control what they can control, and that includes several factors such as Dak’s confidence level and Amari’s road yips to earn a victory.

We found an interesting trend following the loss to the Patriots. Cooper is nowhere near the producer on the road as he is at home, and this isn’t any sort of typical split. He’s drastically different, going from one of the game’s elite wide receivers at home to just-a-guy on the road.

Cooper Home Games, 2019

5 games: 39 receptions on 49 targets, 673 yards for 17.3 ypr average, 5 TDs, 79.6 catch percentage.

Cooper Road Games, 2019

6 games: 17 receptions on 32 targets, 213 yards for 12.5 ypr average, 2 TDs, 53.1 catch percentage.

And it’s not just a symptom of 2019, either, in case you would like to attribute it to the better CBs, or injury woes and traveling.

Will this be a game where Michael Gallup and Randall Cobb have to carry the Dallas passing attack by themselves?

Bounce back game for Jourdan Lewis on tap?

It seems every time Lewis starts to ascend and prove his legion correct about why he should have been playing all along, he has a game like last week that silences that support. Lewis is a fiery, athletic defender who can help in multiple ways, but he’s only found a home in the starting lineup recently.

Cole Beasley ate him alive. It wasn’t all his fault here though, as Dallas’ coaching staff somehow forgot how opponents used to take Beasley away with bracket coverage and rarely doing so on Thanksgiving. Beasley wasn’t the only one beating Lewis, though. He gave up four catches on five targets to Beasley, but four catches on four targets to everyone else, including the WR-pass 28-yard TD to RB Devin Singletary.

He needs to return to form this week or else Mitchell Trubisky (gulp) could actually resemble an NFL quarterback.
