The Tigers have made the cut for a big player in the trenches — both in terms of status and stature.
Four-star 2024 offensive tackle [autotag]Andrew Sprague[/autotag], a 6-foot-8, 275-pound player from Kansas City, has trimmed his list to 10 schools, and LSU is included among that group. Coach Brian Kelly’s squad is joined by USC, Oklahoma, Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford, Oregon, Missouri, Penn State and Nebraska.
Sprague ranks as the No. 135 player nationally, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, and he’s also the ninth-best offensive tackle. The Rockhurst High School product’s recruitment is seen as fairly open-ended, as he has no Crystal Ball predictions from 247Sports while the Cornhuskers are a slim favorite per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine at 23.6%.
LSU sits at just 5.2%, but it also hasn’t hosted Sprague on campus for a visit since an unofficial trip to Baton Rouge back in November.
Blessed to be in this position! I will be focusing on these 10 schools! @Hayesfawcett3 pic.twitter.com/6Vf1X1lejO

The Tigers currently have the No. 2-ranked recruiting class in 2024, but they still don’t have any offensive tackles committed. Landing a player like Sprague would be a huge win for this recruiting staff, but as you can tell from his top 10, there are a lot of premier programs calling.
